The BoatMarch 27, 1999 | Cinque Terre This is the photo that solidified my interest in photography. I took this very simple photograph and thought, huh that's cool. It wasn't until I got back to my darkroom on the other side of the world that I realized how special this photo is, at least how special it is to me. This was taken in Vernazza, where the local community relies on the ocean (and tourism) to support it. There were a handful of fishing boats gathered together on the shore which just epitomized the fishing village lifestyle. I spent roughly an hour taking photos of these boats (there were 8 boats at the most)! | | | | MetadataCamera Nikon N80 Lens 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D IF Zoom Nikkor Shutter and f/stop 1/60 sec. @ f/5.6
