Squash Blossoms and Figs

This photo was taken at Mercat de Sant Josep/La Boqueria in Barcelona. The green blossoms are squash blossoms, and the purple fruit are figs. I loved the contrast between the two and thought the set up was perfect for this shot.

This fine market, located off of La Rambla, is a must see whether you are in search of a special ingredient, or even if you are a tourist. Mercat de Sant Josep/La Boqueria is the market of markets in my book. There is a huge variety of products - rabbits to mussels - everything is there. And it is in its peak condition: fresh, clean, sweet, and delicious.
