Nightfall on Ruby BeachAugust 27, 2007 | Olympic National Park It got dark quickly and yet the light at the horizon didn't fade. Thinking that the night was drawing to a close I walked back to the path up off the beach. I ran into a couple of photographers and thought it'd be nice to introduce myself. They were terribly nice people - two from England and one from Georgia. We talked photography and cameras for a bit and as the sun was setting the kept taking pictures of this scene. I didn't think it was spectacular, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I don't think my image turned out too poorly, considering that I probably wouldn't have taken it had the other photographers not been there chatting. I really thought it was too dark to get any worthwhile images, but I guess it's never too dark or too late. | | | | MetadataCamera Nikon D200 Lens 12-24mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Shutter and f/stop 30.0 sec. @ f/11.0
