Solo Blue Angel

This guy was going so fast I barely caught him in time! In fact the image is slightly blurred due to his speed, not because the 1/4000 of a second shutter speed was too slow! I thought this picture was interesting because it shows the warping of the air around the top of the cockpit. I had never really seen that before and definitely couldn't have seen it with my naked eye.

The Blue Angels come to town every August as part of the Sea Fair celebrations in Seattle. They are the highlight for many and a true annoyance to those who hate traffic and loud planes.
