Lake Como Sunrise

Lake Como Sunrise

July 06, 2007 | Bitterroot Valley

I got up very early on one of my last days in Montana and headed to Lake Como for the sunrise. Nestled in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains, Lake Como was named by Anthony Ravali - a missionary priest from Italy who named it after the Lake Como in his own home country. Although a world away, the lake is quite magnificent and a hot spot for local visitors. The mountains in the distance are called Como Peaks, but commonly referred to as the 'Three Sisters' by locals.
