Rainy Lake Reflection

This is beautiful Rainy Lake along the edge of the North Cascades National Park. Although an easy hike during the late summer, getting to this lake was no easy feat in early June. Being in the shade of part of the Cascade Range much of the year, there were at least 4-5 feet of snow in some spots along the unmarked trail to the lake.

I had hiked this area before, but never made it to the lake itself. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a colorful spot nestled in the hills.
