Washington Pass

The scene from atop a lookout at Washington Pass. The elevation here reaches an amazing 5,477 ft, with breath-taking views of the North Cascades. Although just outside of the North Cascades National Park, this area is just as beautiful as the park itself.

The road below, Washington State Route 20, is closed from November through April due to cold and snow. This road leads through some amazing terrain along the edges of Ross Lake and to the heights of the peaks of the North Cascades.
