Olympic SunsetMay 07, 2007 | Olympic National Park These are the mountains that make up the heart of Olympic National Park on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. Although fairly tall mountains, not one set of peaks really stand taller than the others. I tried to highlight this. Although I placed this image in Olympic National Park, it was actually taken from Alki Beach in West Seattle. It's amazing how far away from the city of Seattle you can see when you're in it. The hills allow you to see in ever direction for miles. I think from the top of some of the skyscrapers in downtown you could probably see Canada - a good two hours drive north. | | | | MetadataCamera Nikon D200 Lens 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor Shutter and f/stop 1/50 sec. @ f/11.0
