Olympic Sunset from Alki PointMay 07, 2007 | Seattle It started to get warm again in Seattle so what better to do than to go take pictures of the sunset! This was taken from the tip of Alki Point in West Seattle. From here you can see downtown Seattle, the Olympic Mountains and much of the beautiful scenery of Seattle. I had seen photos of the sunset from here and I always really liked them so I thought I'd take a shot and see if I could get some good images as well. It was pretty tough to take any reasonable pictures until the sun set behind the mountains - after that it was such a beautiful scene. The ferry in this scene was headed from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island, in the distant shadows below the mountains in the distance. | | | | MetadataCamera Nikon D200 Lens 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor Shutter and f/stop 1/100 sec. @ f/13.0
