Seattle From Lake UnionMarch 26, 2007 | Seattle This is Seattle as seen early in the morning from Gas Works Park. The body of water is Lake Union - a small lake that is connected to Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean through the Ballard Locks. This area is a great place to people watch early in the morning with tons of rowers and other boats passing in the morning. This shot is darker than others in the series taken this morning. What I like about this shot is you can see the transition from the darkness of night to the lightness of day. I really like the dark shadows close to the city - I imagine it as a blanket that's slowly being pulled away from the city as it wakes. | | | | MetadataCamera Nikon D200 Lens 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Shutter and f/stop 25 sec. @ f/14.0
