Mount Shuksan

This is a shot from my hike to Mt Baker (which is part of a National Forest). This mountian, Mt Shuksan, however is part of North Cascades National Park. Mt Shuksan is not volcanic, but is rather the result of two plates meeting and being forced upward. Mt Baker (to the right out of the frame) is volcanic though. Mt Shuksan is 9,127 feet high, and is commonly referred to as the most photographed mountain in the world, but I have no idea how they actually prove that stat. I\'ve been told that this mountain has been located in Turkey or even China, but it is in Washington state! It is also a great mountain for beginners to learn to climb - I might have to try that sometime!
